Information Architecture

Information Architecture

Content is at the heart of any digital product and understanding the complex relationships between the elements of content is the foundation of great UX. We start by cataloging content and organizing hierarchies. This helps us identify layers to the content which can surface the most important information to users while still providing them the ability to dive deep if necessary.

Workflow

Workflow

Whether you’re building a web application, a mobile app, or even a voice interface, you have to understand the workflow. Defining how users will navigate through screens, lists, forms, and other interfaces begins to pull together the overall experience. Visualizing how these interactions will flow and what data is presented at each step helps us see how to reduce complexity.

User Interface Layout

User Interface Layout

Creating low-fidelity wireframes, or medium-fidelity “mockaframes”, let’s us explore the intricacies of each interface. Here we can play with visual hierarchy, balance, and space. These lightweight pictures are easily changed but give us something to test with users for their reaction.

Prototype Testing & Iteration

Prototype Testing & Iteration

Stitching our “mockaframes” into clickable prototypes allows us to put end-to-end experiences in front of real users. Observing people interact with these prototypes allows us to see where things are sticky or non-intuitive. Testing gives us the data we need to refine our UX through rounds of iteration - each getting closer to an ideal interface.
