Mercedes Bernard has been named Tandem’s VP of Delivery, effective immediately. In this newly created role, Mercedes will drive the consistent, quality delivery of client work, serve as an advocate for our delivery team, and lead Tandem’s work in equity and inclusion.
Mercedes has a nine-year history as a developer, joining Tandem in 2017 as a Senior Software Engineer. She rose through the company to Principal Software Engineer and Engineering Manager roles before this promotion.
“Mercedes has the intimate knowledge of our work and our company that will enable her to succeed in this role — which in turn, will enable Tandem’s continued success,” said JC Grubbs, Tandem founder and CEO. “Throughout her three years at Tandem, Mercedes has contributed significantly to our culture and business goals. I’m excited about the way this additional leadership role will empower our company to be even better.”
Prior to joining Tandem, Mercedes worked for Chamberlain Group, Nansen, and Adage Technologies. She earned her bachelor’s degree in computer science from DePaul University, and will remain based at Tandem’s Chicago headquarters.
