Sasha Grodzins

Engineering Manager

After graduating college, Sasha found herself at a crossroads and wasn't sure what she wanted to do next. So in 2014, she enrolled in a coding bootcamp program. At Dev Bootcamp (DBC), she really appreciated the emphasis on non-technical skills like empathy, giving feedback, and working collaboratively. These qualities drive Sasha's work ethic and tie into her approach to team leadership. She's often the team's biggest hype woman! Sasha loves sharing her optimism and feels extremely passionate about having a good time, which always makes pair programming with her exciting!

Clients praise Sasha's ability to make them feel comfortable and share technical information in non-technical terms. She is also known for her ability to track bugs very quickly and for her expertise in Ruby on Rails, as she has been working with it since 2014. A cool project Sasha has worked on was the initial redesign and architecture of the military entrance process. Using React and GraphQL at that scale was a huge accomplishment.

Outside of technical leadership, Sasha enjoys taking risks, like cooking without recipes, and spends most of her free time saying hi to all the dogs she sees!
