Brent Osland

Brent fell into a programming career by accident. While studying for his master's degree program in applied mathematics at ASU, he began working at STATS Inc, a Chicago area sports statistics company. After a couple of years there -- which included working at ESPN on Baseball Tonight, coding for books, video games and MLB player arbitration cases -- he moved into the insurance industry. Over the last 23 years, Brent's career has encompassed a little bit of everything: Java and C++ development, web security, content management, marketing site creation, and application infrastructure as well as a lot of project and team management. Ultimately, Brent is passionate about problem solving and collaborating with diverse teams to successfully execute on customer wants and needs. When he's not being a geek at work, Brent enjoys lifting weights, biking outside, playing broomball, spending time with his two cats and traveling with his wife and daughter.
