Reliable Communications When Emergency StrikesMcKenzie Landorf
Tandem Alum
McKenzie studied computer graphics in college and then worked for a year as a software developer. In between pairing sessions, she had the opportunity to double as a designer for her project team. McKenzie enjoyed it so much that she decided to pivot completely to design and joined Tandem as a product designer in 2020.
Tandem's supportive environment allows her to utilize her skill of putting users first and dig into the user psychology of her design work. With her background in development, McKenzie is uniquely able to consider the ease of implementation while putting designs together. This strength came in handy in her work with the U.S. Department of Defense because she knows how to create usable designs that can be implemented in a given timeline.
In her spare time, McKenzie loves to surf, read, and bike along the lakeshore with friends. She has also started trying her hand at film photography.
